Holy Family Catholic Academy (Inverness) has long been regarded as an innovator in educating students in 2-year-old preschool through grade 8. This week that innovation was again recognized and validated. AdvancED, a multinational, non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of educational institutions, named HFCA as the first middle school program in Illinois to earn STEM Certification. This announcement came just weeks after HFCA was awarded a 2017 Blue Ribbon Award as an Exemplary High Performing School by the US Department of Education.

Holy Family Catholic Academy's Principal, Mrs. Kate O'Brien was recently recognized by the Archdiocese of Chicago for relentlessly fostering excellence in education. In presenting the St. Thomas Aquinas Award, Dr. Jim Rigg, Superintendent of the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools, noted Mrs. O'Brien's commitment to rigor, continuous improvement and emphasis on 21st century instructional practices.

HFCA uses a variety of communication tools to reach our busy parents and other interested parties. We are excited to announce that we recently launched our first podcast on the Podbean app.

Holy Family Catholic Academy (Inverness) has received accolades for its nationally and internationally recognized curriculum and instruction. But, at HFCA learning is so much more than test scores and academic achievement. Problem solving is more than finding the right answer-- it is focusing on asking the right questions. And sometimes, those questions require an open mind to challenge long held traditions. Recently, Holy Family Catholic Academy (Inverness) set out to solve a problem and ended up questioning an age-old tradition.
